Provisioning to ABAP taking long time

Hi,

We are right now running on 7.0 version with SP2 and patch6.

SAP provisioning from IDM is taking a long time to process each record more than 4 mins to process one record.

I believe 1 record is just adding one single role to the user and if the same user is having mulitple roles then it takes 4*N minutes.

Any one having the same issue or can you please suggest how to get this provisioning faster.

We are almost provisioning 100's of users each day and it is taking days to provision them.

Recently i have raised an OSS message and i am told to re-build couple of important tables like values, attributes tables which we did last week and we saw some improvement but after 2-3 days again the provisioning is taking more time than before.

Can any one suggest if there are any settings or any tables which we can look to improve the provisioning speed.

Would be happy to share more information if needed.

Arun,

What's the back end look like? What Database? How much RAM?

Are you doing anything really complex during provisioning? Are you getting any time outs?

How's the audit table? is it really big? Are you using the extended audit trace?
