I had reported on another thread after moving a SAP Installation Server for 7.20 Patch 3 from 2003 server to 2008 server, installs were taking 4-5 times longer to complete.
Applying Patch 6 to the server did not help and made things worse, as I could no longer configure LSH for admin rights during the install.
OSS Note; 1587566 fixed the problems!
After applying the SAP_SETUP patch provided in that note, install times are back to normal, and all other issues I was having are resolved.
