Crystal Reports Runtime 2008 Locale

Hello

I have a question regarding the locale settings of Crystal reports.

When I use the Crystal reports designer, I have the possibility to set my preferred viewing locale via the menu.

Now I have a report, which is started by a 3rd party application on a Citrix server, using SAP Crystal Report 2008 Runtime.

Can I set the viewing locale for a report there, without changing the language and regional settings on operating system level.

Specifically, I want to use u201C.u201D as decimal point and english month names, even if the user has set his environment to German(Austria), where usually u201C,u201D is the decimal point.

Furthermore, if it is possible to change the locale, can I do that only globally (i.e. completely override the operating system setting when running Crystal Reports), or can I set the viewing locale per report.

My environment:

OS: Windows 2003 Service Pack 2

Crystal Reports 2008 Runtime.

BR

Alfred

No, CR uses the local setting, so to change the format you need access to do so.

Apparently there is no solution in CR, but I could get over the problem by using Citrix Servers with standardized locale settings.
