Exporting Bex Report to .txt text file - what are the options if possible

Hello all,

we are running all our reports on Enterprise Portal using the standard Bex web analyzer template. We are working on a requirement where we need to download the report to a .txt text file. is this possible? what are the options I can use?

I have looked into some other backend tcodes RSCRM_BAPI but there is not an option for .txt file. We need the infoobjects Key and text that is displayed on the report in the downloaded file.

One option I can think of is to expert in XML /Excel format and then save it as .txt file from excel.

That is a good option but the business users want something which does not take 2-3 steps since they will be doing this for multiple reports in any given day.

Any other options I can explore?

Hi Cathy,

What format will the data you put into the .txt file be? If it is cvs you can add an export to .cvs button to you template using WAD.

Another option would be using Analysis Process Designer (tcode= RSANWB). With APD you can "pipe" the output of a query to a PC-file (again CVS).
