Aggregated Demand Not Updated after forecast generation

Hi,

We are in the process of testing an upgrade from SCM 4.1 to SCM 7.

One of the scenarios that we tested was to change forecast profiles for a handful of materials, then generate the forecast in the background for these materials using the newly defined forecast profiles.

Upon going into the planning book and loading the data for all of these materials at a material level, the Demand/Forecast did not change. Once we went into one of the material/ship to combinations, the forecast/demand values had changed at this level. Then we went back to the material level and could now see the new values.

Any ideas why we are not seeing the newly generated demand at the material level upon initial entry in the planning book?

Thanks,

Susan

Hi Susan,

If i have understood issue correctly, what you are facing is that If you load few materials you do not see Demand/Forecast. but when you drill down to one material you see number and than when you drill up to Total you see number for that material at all material level. Is that right? now if you do details all and than go back to total you see correct sum of demand/forecast. right?

If not please ignore below.

I would suggest to open a OSS message.

We had the same issue in our SCM 5.1 system when we created new planning book for VMI planning. we opened OSS message but we were not given permanent solution. Instead they suggested to have a macro in the start that does drill down and drill up so that all numbers look right.
