Hi
When I do an SLDCHECK from ECC, I get an error. This is the error that I got.
Function call returned exception code 4

plase copy and paste the status of SLDCHECK transaction. plase paste it under "quote" mark --> see Furthet Markup Possibilities at the rigth menu when you reply a message

go to SM59 and do a test connection for RFC (Type TCP/IP) LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI.
let me knowthe status. im sure that one of them are faling.

goto SLDAPICUST and check whether the SLD host is registered and user and password properly setted.
check in RZ70 if the SLD host is setted

check whether the SLDAPICUST user is not bloked

Check the SLDAPICUST transaction ( then test SAPSLDRFC destination on SM59) and the SLD Data Provider on the NWA/Visual Administrator.
PS: Since the SLD connection is working (from SLDCHECK outcome), check the business system. If this is a central XI instance, check OSS note #764176. Otherwise, just check if there is one Adapter Engine technical system for the de-central adapter engine on the SLD (and check the related Business System for the Pipeline URL).
