Search functionality for NAME3 same as NAME1

Hello All,

User wants a searh help for field NAME3 which should have the same functionality as in NAME1.

SAP provides 3 special Match code fields MCOD1, MCOD2 and MCOD3.

MCOD1 - Contains an all-upper-case version of the NAME1 field values

MCOD2 - Contains all the upper-case version of the NAME2 field values

MCOD3 - Contains all the upper-case version of the ORT01 field values

As the NAME1 data is stored in MCOD1field of LFA1 in upper case, while searching, the program looks for the MCOD1 field to get the requested data where as NAME3 is not linked to any Search terms fields and is case-sensitive.

Please suggest if there is any solution to achieve the similar functionality of NAME1 to the NAME3 field.

Thanks,

Chakradhar.

Not that I know of. But you might search for notes to see if SAP has a standard solution. If not, send it to OSS.
