cloning employees from old to new employee number

Former Member

Hi Experts,

Can some one help me on how an employee can be cloned with all existing data in to a new employee number.

Ex: Employee ABC has employee number 1000

I want to make him 1500, with all his existing master data and payroll data for 1000, to be moved to 1500.

Is there any standard functionality available in SAP?

Thanks in advance

Veena

I would recommend http://www.tikconsulting.com.au/nexussuite_HCMDataReplicationModule.php the Nexus tool by TIK consulting costs less and work alot better than the accenture tool in my opinion, as i have used both and large projects.

Cheers,

Brad

If you want to clone data to another system (including changing pernr) for the purpose of testing, there're several 3rd party softwares out there (e.g. clone and test) with masking capability. Payroll/time cluster can be copied over as well.

Hi

Use the reference number field for this functionality.

This will copy infotype data according to the IT that you define.

Please read the help on reference number field.

Thanks Rave for your quick response. But how is it possible to copy the payroll data.

The old emp number has payroll results for more than a year.

Thanks
