Hi,
Sometimes we have a situation that the IP lock exists in SM12 while the user already not using the application. It happens when in several situations (user closes the report not in appropriate way, connection error, PC crash and so on).
It prevents from other users to work, so we enter the manually remove the stuck session from SM04.
Is there a solution for that kind of problem ?

Hi there,
As far as I know, you have to manually delete the lock entry under the transaction sm12
You can also define a time out session for a session not used for 30 minutes or more, that way if the user don't use the SAP system after 30 minutes that session is killed automatically and the locks should be gone.
