Hire and terminate Employee on same date

Is it possible to hire and terminate an employee on same date.

Suppose a person is hired on 9th june 2011, and due to some he has to be terminated on that particular date. Is it possible.

Speaking in terms of SAP HCM standard it is not possible.

But through development it is possible.

But when u do this a lot of care needs to be taken.

I think it is possible using Additional Actions.
