RELAESE CODE : AUTHORIZATION

Dear All,

We need to authorize users for Release code but one user should be able to release and other unrelease teh PO.

same user should not be able to Releese and Unrelease the PO.

Please suggest any object for the same so that we can control the same.

Hi,

As per your statement one user able to release and other user unable to release the PO means to be check the following authorization :

- Release Code

- Release Group

- Company code & Plant Code

- Purchasing Groups (Buyer creating PO)

- Purchasing Org.

- PO Document Types

Check the above authorization with Basis consultant and all authorization provided to the particular user and then check the particular user is able to release the PO.

Release code authorization will remain same for Release and Derelease.

We cannot use workflow for the same.

Need to do this with authorization matrix or any other solution.

Hi Vikas,

you can achieve the same via Workflow, that is you remove the Authorization of the T-Code ME29, and give all the Objects to the user, and define the release strategy and at the 2 levels give same Release grp(for Approver and For rejection),

then keep workflow in such a way that the mail should trigger from the approver to the person whom should be rejecting the PO (If required), else he would approve the same and go ahead with the next level of release.

though I have never tested the given scenario, but I feel that it should work correctly.
