Hi Frds,

PP and WM interface with RF applications ie using bar code scanner for WM transactions the most possible flow process as below,

1.Create the Production manually for the Make to Stock ( no MRP and Scheduling )

2.Release the production order

3.Here we need automation transfer posting of the materials from storage bins to shop floor location by using Bar code scanner i e User Select storage bin by using RF scanner and also select the material batch number then transfer goods to shop floor location ( here could u suggest appropriate way with transactional flow )

4.Goods issue to the Production Orders

5.Production order Goods receipts MIGO in this case we already done bar code generation during MIGO,

6.Scan the Bar code of the FG then transfer FG from shop floor to WM storage location I e empty bin (here we need automation I e user scan bar code of the FG during this the system should propose the empty bin and handling units (palletization)

Could you suggest the what transaction flow of PP and WM interface and also suggest how to implement bar code scanner to do WM transactions

And also setting required for this interface

I hope this information may sufficient,

Thanks

Mohan,

Start here for a Business Process Procedure WM/PP, with some commonly used transactions

http://help.sap.com/bp_dm604/BBLibrary/Documentation/226_BPP_EN_US.doc

General configuration, WM for DC, including RF

http://help.sap.com/bp_bblibrary/600/documentation/R42_BB_ConfigGuide_EN_DE.doc

Other General WM config

http://help.sap.com/bp_bblibrary/600/documentation/A08_BB_ConfigGuide_EN_US.doc

I suggest that if you have never done this before, you consider engaging the services of a consulting company experienced in such matters.

Well... doing the setup for WM is just one aspect, the key thing would be to setup the RF devices & getting it to work as per the defined business process.

I would strongly suggest that you work with a Senior WM consultant who has done these setups and can map & explain the entire flow. This forum is not the right place for this query.

Just by going thru' the config documents wouldn't take you too far. Good luck.

What is your expectation with the above statement? Is it that you want to know how the transactions are to be processed on the handheld device or is it what processing is to be in SAP GUI screen?

Did you consult your WM consultant who has setup this flow?

Mohan,

??? You haven't yet described a scenario. You actually haven't mentioned any business processes, or any business requirements, but have instead mentioned a few acronyms.

All software solutions begin with the business requirements. You need to first determine the business processes you will be supporting. For instance, when/why/who will be doing a Goods receipt? When/why/who will be doing a goods issue? Then, determine if/how the Warehouse Management module, and the Mobile Data entry functionality, can be used to support your business requirements.

Standard SAP supports Mobile data entry (RF) in Warehouse Management. Your RF system serves as input to WM in lieu of manually performing WM transactions at a terminal.

Standard SAP Warehouse Management supports all major warehouse functions. Goods Issue and Goods receipt transactions are seamlessly integrated with Inventory Managment, and thereby with Production Planning/Control.

Now, if you have a question about a specific problem, please raise it. I am unable to describe a 'transaction flow' without first knowing what business processes you intend to execute.
