Hi,
I have changed the planning horizon of a plant via OMDX transaction. Please let me know how I can check the impact of this in the business? Where will this be reflected? Can this change be seen during order creation? If so, please provide the details
Thanks & Regards

Hi ,
For example :
Value in planning Horizon is 150 u maintain in OMDX or OPPQ
And u place order in md61 after 150 days .
Independent requirement is generated for require order in md04
Run MRP through md02
Processing Key : NETPL
Result will be display in md04.
u find that there is no planned order generated for the required order.
I hope your idea is clear. If any problem pl revert

Dear Sir,
Planing horizon period is being maintained in OMDX or OPPQ.
Three types of planing types is being there
NEUPL-Its is being run for first time when the sysyetm beocmed Go live.It generated planing files entries for all the material whether it is being planned or not, ireespective of planing horizon days.
NETCH-Net Change in planing Horizon-When MRP will rum, it will consider only those material whose RLT is lying in this period or demand is in this period.
NETPL-Net change in planing-It will consider all the perod irrespective of planing horizon time
RRevert back for anydoubts

When you say you placed outside the planning horizon, may I know how what is the value you have maintained for the planning horizon & on which date did you place the demand on (computation has to be based on working days)?
Did you run MRP using NETPL ?
Upload screenshots of MD61 & MD04, along with OMDX details.
A simple test, place a demand (eg: a independent demand via MD61) outside the planning horizon, execute MRP with processing key as NETPL. MRP will not plan for this demand.
Hope it clarifies.
