Can you we split the Spare parts material type

Spare Parts A ( bearing, bushing nuts)

Spare Parts B(Electrical electronic )

will it possible in Material master . pl

Hi Dear,

Why do you want to split the spare part, you can create the BOM, there is another functionality in PM module called the assembly, which you can use if Plant maintenance is implemented,

i guess this was your query.

Hi,

If you want to evaluate separately,then you need to create two material type or two valuation class in same material type and configure OBYC settings likewise.If you want only for identification then crate material different material group.

do copy with a given standard material type ERSA and make two new material types according to ur requirement......

go to SPRO-logistic general-material master----Basic Settings---- material types------Define Attributes of Material Types, create ur material group here, n if u want u can Define Number Ranges for Each Material Type .

its depend on your client what they want

If you want separate material type for mechanical equipment and electrical equipment then you can define two material type

or as suggest earlier you can categories by material group while creating material master

its depend on business
