List out data horizontally

Hi,

How would I list out my dates of service on my report horizontally as supposed to vertically?

Normally, it would look like this:

Employee ID Date of Service

1 5/1/2011

1 5/3/2011

1 5/4/2011

1 5/7/2011

But I would like my report to show like this:

Employee ID Date of Service

1 5/1/2011

1 5/3/2011

1 5/4/2011

1 5/7/2011

Thank you for your help!

Hi,

I see both formats looks similar, check your post and repost with what you are looking for.

Thanks,

Oops, it should list out this way horizontally.....

Employee ID Date of Service1 Date of Service 2 Date of Service 3 Date of Service 4

5/1/2011 5/3/2011 5/4/2011 5/7/2011

Thank you for pointing it out.

Hi,

Only option is to create a cross tab, since your dates are dynamic you can't create a standard report.

I have never created a crosstab before in Crystal....... where do I begin? Thanks!

Hi,

Open CR Designer--File New Cross Tab report-- Connect to your datasource and place the required fields on column and row. If you needto show any summary place that field in summary field.

Hi Sastry

Actually that's not true. Right click on the details section and then check on the option Format with Multiple Columns. Then simply drop the fields in a row...

Thank you

This crosstab report does not work for me though.

Is there any kind of programming can be done in Crystal to pull out the first, second and 4th date of service?

My data is as follows:

ID Name Date of service

1 John Doe 05/03/11

1 John Doe 05/06/11

1 John Doe 05/09/11

1 John Doe 05/15/11

I need to show my data horizontally like this:

ID Name Date of service1 Date of service 2 Date of service 4

1 John Doe 05/03/11 05/06/11 05/15/11

Would anyone help, please?

Thanks,

T

Right click on the Detail section, not using a crosstab report and check on the option to Format with multiple columns.
