Oracle DB Management Space Administration

Hello gurus,

I´m trying to learn how to management an Oracle DB. The problem is the concept behind an Oracle DB is not the same as the SQL Server DB which I have some experience. The concept here, in an Oracle DB, this must be a management of space in terms of Tablespaces and not in way of a Global space in terms of Datafiles like in SQL Server DB. In SQL Server DB when we need to adjust some space, we perform this on Management Studio tool... we can do a data shrink when we notice that is a big diference between alocated and the reserved space. In an Oracle DB, we can do that through the brtools or sqlplus, am I right? Can you tell me how can I perform this space adjustment by Brtools? Because we want to apply the same strategic as we consider in SQL Server DB, in order to adjust the database more efficiently, that is, trying to manage the global space of the database in way to verify that no major differences between space and real space reserved / allocated in the database.

Can you clarify me please?

Thank you
