Hi,

I have Nakisa 3.0 SP1 installed on CE 7.2. I have set the connection string for backend with backend user in OrgChart manager URL. But still when I am trying to login using the default URL, it says invalid URL. Please help!!

I checked the string in data centre and test connection working fine.

Regards,

Sagar

Hi Sagar,

Please ensure you check the Troubleshooting in the Admin guide because there are some really useful tips there. Can you be more precised about the error you get. Maybe a screenshot?

Best regards,

Hi,

Below is the cds.log. As per the log, Name or password incorrect. But i have checked password and user id at backend and it is working. Also connection string is working fine.

I have gone through the Admin guide. I am using the user id nakisa_test (does exist in backend) but when I use this user id, it does not logg me in and the screen shows the message invalid Login.

Are you using SAP form login?

If so, have you set and tested the connection string in the Security section of the Admin console?

HI Sagar,

It looks like the username or password you are using in the Role Mapping section is incorrect. This is configured in Security Settings > Authentication Settings > Role Mapping. Make sure the user defined there has a valid password in SAP.

Hi Sagar,

As Luke said, your problem might be caused by the wrong username/password supplied in the rolemapping section. Please also note that the account might already be locked for "repeated try to login with wrong password".

The account supplied in security settings must have privilieges to read the accounts in the SAP system. prefereably SAP_ALL.

Hi,

I am using SAP_LIVE_2 build in OrgChart and have set the role mapping under security setting. I am using the same backend user (nakisa_test) which i have maintained in connection string. Also, the backend user is not locked and have SAP_ALL. Now after correcting the role mapping settings, I am still getting the invalid login message while logging in to default URL. Below is the CDS.log output.

In the security settings, check the role mappings.

By default in SP1 (from memory), no role is set to default. Either assign valid and relevant SAP roles to the Nakisa roles or at least make the Everyone role the default. Also, ensure the "Only allow valid roles" is UN-checked.

In SP1 no roles need to be assigned - you can just setup login forms authentication, enter your connection string and root ID and go. Something here indicates that there is a problem either with the user account used or with the communication to SAP. In older versions there was a problem with librfc32.dll, but I don't think that is a problem with 3.0 at all.

Hi Sagar,

What errors in CDS.log are you getting?

Thanks,
