export table using brtools

Hi,

I want to export a table using brtools

But while executing it says;

BR0068E SAP System running or SAP user is connected to database instance TRN

BR1025I Please shutdown SAP system first or use the 'force' option

So, to export a table ; Do we need to SHUTDOWN the database ?

What will happen , if we use with ; Force table export (force) ....................... [YES]

Will this make any affect to the up and running system.

Hi,

If you don't use force option, the database needs to be shutdown. By using "force" option, you will be able to export the table, without shutdown the database.

When the system is online, table content might be changed. So, if it is a transaction table you'd better to export table when the database is down. That's why you shutdown the instance.

Force table export (force) .............. [no]

opting the option to yes, does not means that it will not shutdown the Database if it is running.
