Hi csecsecse,

What the background job that you have scheduled?

Is it UpdateStats

Otherthan scheduling using SM37, try to schedule it using DB13 itself.

Hi Zerandib,

I ran following two jobs:

DBA:CheckDB____________________@070000/0001

DBA:UPDATESTAT________________@060000/0001

i was told by my team , they could not find any update on DB13.

Any suggestion would be really appreciated

Hi Dipak,

Could you clarify what does it mean with "update"? You scheduled those jobs on DB13 and they are not running? or not be able to access their trace files? What???

Hi Dipak,

>> i schedule the above jobs using SM36, it got finished but i was told by my colleague as they could not find Update on DB13 screen.

As the other guy referred, you should schedule these jobs by using DB13. Do not create these jobs by using SM36.

As an additional info;

Create these jobs with the recurrence pattern. Check under "Recurrence" tab -> Every = 1 -> Select "Day(s)" radio button -> Select the one of the suitable hour (01:00 ... 23:00) -> Click on "Add" button.

If you don't perform this configuration, you can create only one job, on DB13 and it will not be executed the other days.

Is it long or short update? The update block might be executed in very short time.

Update process may take a few milliseconds, so it means that it is a short process. So, I mean that because of the update process is running too fast, you are not be able to see it on SM13.

In sm36 , i schedule the background job , it got released and finished.
But i can't see any update on DB13 tcode .

By the way, you mean SM13 not DB13, isn't it?
