Fixed Bin strategy putaway

Hi Gurus,

Our client has fixed bin strategy for their materials i.e. bin is defaulted from the material master.

We are not using capacity check for this phase. But some times it happens that when the person goes to put the material sin the bin, the the fix bin can be full and they put some quantity in nearest empty bin for over flow.

How can we handle this situation? Please expalin some possible solution for acheiving this.

Can we change Fixed Bin at time of TO creation?

Yes u can change the bin,during placement.How the TR & TO created in ur system aitomatically?or manually.

If the activity is manul, then the physical activity should happen first & then the system transaction should be done thro LT01.

If it is automatic then if the bin is full then BIN TO BIN transfer to be done thro LT10.

Keep the TO confirmation manual & then there is possibility to change BIN during confirmation

If you set the indicator for Destination bin change during confirmation for the desired storage type Warehouse Management
