Hi All,

Am in the process of Connecting BOBJ Data Services to SAP MDM7.1 repository, have followed all the steps as mentioned in the set-up guide. Have some issues in the following steps and need your advise on this.

  1. Have successfully configured DB Views execution package ( as per the recommendations)

  1. when am trying to execute the GenerateViews_win2003.cmd - its not working all the time am getting the LOG message:

(Data base params were configured correctly but never successful with this)

  1. --------------------------------------------

  2. LOG FILE : MDM_Db_Views_EP_PARTNER_SL_110406_152717.log

  3. START TIME : Wed Apr 06 15:27:17 CDT 2011

  4. --------------------------------------------

Initialize:

Connecting to repository 'EP_PARTNER_SL' on server 'bmccap88'...OK. (188 ms)

Connecting to database...

So, could you please let me know what am really missing in the configuration.

thanks,

Alexander.

Hello Alex

You should change your GenerateViews_win2003.cmd file

i think, in this file you have some code for DB view creation

and first part - connection to database is work fine but than for DB view creation you need use your repository tasblespace name - maybe it is not hte same as has written in your .cmd file - check this, please

Hi KC,

Could you please elaborate on this " for DB view creation you need use your repository tasblespace name - maybe it is not hte same as has written in your .cmd file " - where do I find the tablespace name for the repository??

So, instead of actual repository name ( what do we see in Console) you are telling me to use the tablespace name - is that correct??

thanks,

Alexander.

Did you get this working Alex?

Hoping to embark on a similar path so would be good to hear of any gotchas!

Thanks,

Jeremy.
