Severe error(s) occured in phase MAIN_SHADOW/START_SHDI_FIRST!

Hello Consultants:

We are upgrading a BW 3.5 to BW 7.0 EHP2 , we have error in phase MAIN_SHADOW/START_SHDI_FIRST.

We have readed other forums and we have modified kernel version,new version (sapstartsrv too),restart server ,cleanipc remove , but the problem persist.

We have not DEVTRACE.LOGfile in the /abap/log.

In the etc/services we have sapgw and sapdp for shadown instance.

In the work directory ,shadown instance, we only have sapstartsrv.log file and the log is:

Hello again:

Our problem is Solved!

The problem was that the executable sapstartsrv was corrupt we had to delete it and also we had problems with the sapstream file.

Hi,

Your shadow instance is not able to start. Could you please check logs in <DIR_PUT>/abap/<SID>/eork directory and also paste here ? You can also check SAP Note 525677 - Problems when starting shadow instance.
