BEX 3.5 error

Hi all gurus,

BI system has version 30a26: version 70000 is required please advise on this error . How can i resolve it..

Can you be more specific as to, at what activity or task, did you get this error message?

hi vikram,

Thanks for the reply.. one of our user facing the above problem while trying to login to bex.. we have bw 3.5 with bex 7.0 version.

when user tries to login it is throwing the above errror.Earlier user was facing the invalid library error which was rectified by deleting hidden .exd files.

Helping to resolve this issue is much appreciated

In an end user situation where your normal systems function, the simplest solution is to uninstall and reinstall the SAP-GUI sofware. BW is very sensitive to changes in the end user's computer environment... installation of software, corruption of installations, etc... all can have an affect on the Bex client software.

Rather than fiddle around with picking and choosing .dll files and whatnot, simply uninstall SAP-GUI, 'repair' the Microsoft Office installation, and reinstall the SAP-GUI.

Note that SAP-GUI versions are also vital.. We have defaulted for SAP-GUI 7.2 Patch level 4 for all of our end users, using Office 2003 up to Office 2010.

Install the Business Explorer 3.x Addon for Gui 7

Install the latest patches.

This should resolve the issue.
