Customer Portal - OTC (Customer B2B Web)

Hello All,

I am trying to get my head around the architectural information around Customer Portal & AFS.

Would appreciate if you could provide inputs around these queries.

We are using SAP NW 7.01 SP06. ECC 6.0 EHP 4 . Now we are having AFS & Customer Portal (Customer B2B Web Capability around OTC) added in scope.

1 - Do we have any SAP pre-delivered Portal content on EP that is ready to be used out of the box for Customer Portal like ESS, MSS or SRM?

2 - Does Customer Portal run on Netweaver Portal - What is the Architecture?

3 - Do we need to use EFP / FPN concepts with Customer Portal around SAP EP?

4 - Is Portlet same as iViews or it is similar to the underlying app eg WD4A / WD4J?

5 - In case of custom inventory in Customer Portal - what would be the recommended implementation technology - WD4A / WD4J/ PDK object or any web service based development.

6 - Any additional installations of SAP components required to enable this?

Hi,

You can use CRM for this requirement. If you dont have license or want to use it you can develop your own one. You can use WDJ for many reasons. For example license reason.

Came to this conclusion -

There is no ready to use BP for Customer Portal

Custom Modules could be built using WD for ABAP.

If looking at light content on EFP build using PDK - Java/JSP technology (cumbersome efforts)
