QM control key for procurment

If i activated qm control key for procurment only for release

what actually the release concept means

in this sense i want to mantain Q info record for this material?

If i didn't maintain q info record for this material what will be the effect?

First thing If you maintain "Release " then Quality Infor record becomes mandetory.

Concept is in Quality Info Record there is Release/valid date & Quantity.

This date must be future date to that of PO creation date.if its prior date means this Vendor-material combination is not valied on current date.This is what influence is.

Now if you do not maintain valid Q info record then system will through error.
