Personalization Issue with setting up CR 2008 Publication

Hello,

I'm learning BO Publisher 3.1 for my client, and I'm able to set up everything except for the Personalization section. I can point to the Crystal Report source document that has a parameter in the report, but when I want to select the parameter for publishing to each user, there are no options for me to grab the parameter.

What do I need to do within either the CMC, InfoView or Crystal where I can see the report?

I figured it out. By starting a new Publication, the Personalization section now appeared in the new Publication.

My question for someone at SAP - if you add a parameter to an existing Crystal Report that is the source document - why wouldn't it reflect in the Publication (InfoView or CMC) instead of having to start a new Publication? Is it something on the server side to be aware of, or a setting that needs to be applied?

I'd like to share that information to the client when they use Publications going forward.
