Budget in internal order assigned to WBS

Former Member

Hi Experts:

I have projects with two levels. Second level WBS elements have internal order assigned. I can't change it because of MM requirements. I would like to have availability control in my WBS elements and in my internal orders . However, the system issues a mistakes when you try to assign buget to internal orders assigned to WBS elements.

According to that mistake, internal orders assigned to WBS elements can not have budget because the budget is provided from the WBS element.

I know I can plan internal orders and spend budget when I plan them but it is not exactly that I need.

Would it be possible to make something about that?

Thanks in advance

Best regards

Jose

Hi,

Unfortunately this is standard SAP functionality

If a WBS element has a budget then the expenditure of any associated object e.g. Network/activity or Internal Order is

matched against the WBS element's budget.

For example, if you attach an Internal Order to a WBS element that order cannot be budgeted. Message KO414 presents if you try as you have found.

If you post against the I/O then the posting is considered against the WBS element's budget (the I/O cannot have budget

as it is assigned to the WBS element which controls budget)

regards

Waman
