sapcpe could not be started

Hi experts,

one of the Ecc6.0 server has been infected by virus.After removing the viruses,Sap instance is not starting.In mmc it theres error showing:

sapcpe couldnot start

strdbs.cmd could not be started.

sap folder is having share name saploc and i can access through network.Whereas in the errorlog it shows CreateProcess(
ECC6QAS\*sapmnt\QAS\SYS\exe\nuc*\NTI 386\sapcpe.EXE .

under exe i have the folder named UC then why its looking for nuc...no idea.

O.S= WIN2000

DB= ORACLE 10g

Please guide to solve this issue.

Hi Juan,

I can loginto database from command prompt using sapsr4 /ops$connect password.but still the same error ...

The fact that you can login does not mean the system can... as per the logs seems like the password is missing from the SAPUSER table

As per the note you can delete and reinsert the uname/pass via sqlplus.

DELETE FROM "OPS$<sid>ADM".SAPUSER;

INSERT INTO "OPS$<sid>ADM".SAPUSER VALUES ('<sapowner>', '<password>');

ORA-01005: null password given; logon denied

That suggest that somehow the password for SAPSR4 user is blank or null (which is unusual as normally it will be incorrect but not null)

The best shot is to set the password again,for that follow the procedure and check the OPS$ users using SAP Note 400241

Thanks Juan.sap folder was not shared with sapmnt,it was shared only as saploc.Also i renamed the uc folder to nuc and now

sapcpe is started.But now disp+ work is not working, whereas msg_server and igswd is working.

<drive>:\usr\sap need to be shared as both sapmnt and saploc thats why sapcpe can't find the path.

Please fix the share and that should solve the problem
