iView error javax.naming.NameNotFoundException

Hi All,

I've post this quest once but didn't get any replies.

I've tried re-transporting the iView but I'm still getting the same error.

I've transport our MSS role into our QA portal and the Reminder of Dates iView is throwing this exception.

This is the only iView on the MSS page which is doing this and it has the same system alias etc as all the others. It works in our dev portal.

I've checked SDN and it was suggested that I run the ume consistancy check which didn't find any inconsistancies other than user errors.

The mss~rod application does exist in QA.

Any help appreciated.

As an iView point to some application (portlet), this application has to exist for the iView to work. If not, the iview tries to call a non-existing application, thus: giving an error.

In your case, the error:

javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: Child not found: at

means that under the applications node the portal is not finding the application specified by the codelink parameter of the iView.

Check that (PAR name: is deployed in the target portal. You can deploy it by uploading PAR file or by selecting the "resolve dependencies" option when exporting the portal content. This option will not only export the PCD objects, but also other used resources, like the application.
