How to make query crosstab dynamic in column using Query Generator

Hi all,

is it possible to make a query crosstab dynamic in column using query Generator ?

Actually i have a query in store procedure format, it runs well when execute in SQl server.

But i want it to run in query Generator which can selecting the parameter.

Query generator is mainly used for reporting purpose...

I don't think you can work the SP since i need to know the purpose using SP in query generator..

Hi Kambadasan,

Actually if the column header is fix/static , i can do it using select query.

Seems that the heading column is dynamic which i can select the range year that i want.

It's difficult to make this using select query. So i make it by using Store procedure.

Pivot , hm i haven't try it.

Actually i use a store procedure that can show the dynamic column. I get it from googling.

Can you give me some example about pivot query ?

HI KK,

It is your requirement or u jus wanna try. Cross tab functionality cannot be done in Query Generator. Use crystal report for that type of requirements.

Actually for the first time , i have already make it in crystal report. but due to limitless in paper size. So i move it to query generator.
