partner fn in serial nos master not updating

Hi friends,

we are using serial nos in deliveries. For the header material of the BOM, it is not serialized, while the sub-items of the BOM is serialized. We are not PGI ing the sub-items(pick qty is 0), hence it is not updating the partners in serial no master.

Now this partners updates in the serial master only if the material is PGI'ed, which in our case they are not pgi ing.

This serial no master creates an automatic eqpt master, which also does not contain the partners, which subsequently shows blank in the service notification.

The user wants the partners in the eqpt master irrespective of whether it is pgi'ed or not.

How can it be achieved?

Does anybody have any solution on this?

Hi,

As far as my understanding partner function will not update in serial number nor in equipment master.

When in delivery serial number is assigned and PGI is happen then system automatically create equipment master and then in serial number or equipment you can view history and in history you will come to know who is current customer.

You have to maintain partner manually by IQ02 or IE02

Hi Kapildev,

As per standard SAP, the partner functions Sold to and Ship to get transfered to the serial no master when the outbound delivery is PGi'ed. Which in turn updates the eqpt master. You need not maintain it manually.

You can check the partners in iq02 or ie022, partners button is there, you will see the sold to and ship to party.

Hi,

There is one FM SERIAL_LISTE_MM which hits while doing PGI.In this , there is FM PM_PARTNERCOPY_GET_VBPA_POS which copy Partner Function.

Can you pls check with your ABAPer about this FM.I am not sure if this will solve your problem.
