Hi Experts,

My clients requirement is weighted average of activities at WBS level.

I am getting confuse for formula of weighted average. For example

IF Under WBS 1 there is 2 Activities A1 and A2.

POC of current month For A1 & A2 is 40% & 30%

Weightage for A1 & A2 is 70 & 30

then At the level of WBS1 what figure should come?

I am seeing progress in CNE5 report.

Please suggest me.

Thanks in advance

Hi Abdul,

thanks for reply.

I have 1 doubt that is it manadatory that sum of weight under 1 WBS should be 100.

Suppose if there is WBS element XXX and under this there sre 2 more WBS i.e. WBS element XXX.01 & WBS element XXX.02 so total weight assign to XXX.01 and XXX.02 wbs shold be 100.

If Under WBS XXX there is only two WBS XXX.01 and XXX.02 and under WBS XXX.01 there are 2 activities A1 and A2

POC & weight for A1 & A2 is 40%, 70 & 50%, 30

so what POC will come at Level of WBS XXX.01 and at level of WBSXXX

It is not mandatory to be 100%, but it will be easy to distribute if you consider whole project as 100%. And in EVA (other than SAP PS) it is done like this, i.e. whole project = 100% then distribute weight-age to other elements / structures.
