Backup issue in to disk

Hi Expert,

I wants take the online and offline backup in disk.

So also in init.sid.sap i have changed the parameter of tape to disk but i'm unable to take the backup in disk.

Please help me.

Hai....

the information that you have provided is incomplete any how check following entity

1) Check the permissions of init<SID>.sap

2) Check the backup_root_dir parameter in the init<SID>.sap

it should be some location in the server let say /backup

3) Check the permissions of that location too.

4) If above two points are OK, check weather sufficient space is available or not.

check one of these might be the problem, for exact please provide the detail log.

please share your logs when you try to run a backup on disk.
