Crystal Reports with MsExcel datasource on InfoView

Hi,

I have a typical situation in which I need to create a Crystal Reports based on MsExcel as datasource. Once I have developed the Crystal Report, I need to upload it on the InfoView. The Excel file would be updated on a regular basis and this too has to be placed in the Business Objects Repository / InfoView. The Crystal Report has to be able to connect to this Excel file and present the updated data from the Excel file whenever one refreshes it on the InfoView.

Has anybody faced this situation and been able to find a solution. Please share if you have related content/link.

Just put the Excel file in a location that is shared and all have permissions to the update/access the file. Then schedule the report based on the update event of the file. Every time someone replaces the Excel file BOE should be trigger to run the report.
