Change fiscal year variant from 12 to 24 periods

Hi All,

Currently we have fiscal year variant with 12 periods (April to March) & we are currently in 3rd period of 2011 (as per calender - June 2011).

Now if I want to go with fiscal year variant which will have 24 periods & and that to active from say July 2011, what problems / consequnces may occur.

please share your views / concerns / problems may arise while doing this.

For these kind of changes you need to contact SAP,They have a tool System land scape optimiser (SLO) and they will run in your system then will advice you what kind precautions you need to take care while changing the periods.Please also check OSS note 672255.
