Why must be Held documents converted

Hi all,

when I try to hold document, error message occur: F5410 Held documents must be converted.

Could anyone explain me, why is this operation needed? I know, that I must run the report RFTMPBLU and that is all. Bud I want to know the reason why this situation happen.

I already executed this report in the past but now it is needed again.

Hi,

here is the solution and reason why must be held documents converted:

If will be change one of the following tables (expansion of fields in structure), there will be needed run the program RFTMPBLU because of regenerating structure.

Tables:

BKPF, BSEG, BSEC, BSED, BSEZ, BSET, ACSPLT, TIBAN, BNKA.

Changes in these tables can be find in table DD02L.

Hi,

You could read the reasons in note 11135:

The attempt was made to convert or open held documents which are older than a Release. This is not possible. The same applies if you have carried out a DDIC change for an affected DDIC structure which, for example, can be done WITHIN a release via Support Packages due to Note 192502.
