plz tell me how can we generate reports for two fiscal year, i think it can possible through special purpose ledger. am i right or wrong plz correct me

suppose one company is in india and other in uk. so both have different fiscal year. but using same chart of accounts, i want generate financial statements for both company and for both fiscal year for india because uk is parent company, consolidation will be based on uk fiscal year.
are you using NewGL? If yes, create a ledaing-ledger with FY-variant for the parent company (UK) and one local ledger with the 2nd fiscal year (for IN).
If you use old GL, you need a special purpose ledger with the different FY-variant for IN.
