Problem installing Xcelsius 2008 on a windows 7 machine

I just purchased a copy of Xcelsius 2008 and am having problems installing it on my laptop which runs Windows 7 as the operating system.

When I launch the setup app I get the following error messages:

"Office XP application: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint must be pre-installed. Higher versions work fine."

then

"Installation ended prematuraly because of an error"

I have Office 2010 installed including each of the programs specified in the erro message.

Is there an updated setup app or some other solution to getting around this error?

Your help would be greatly appreiated.

Have you installed SP4?

Dennis,

Please make sure that you installed Office 2010 (32-bit) and not Office 2010 (64-bit).

Xcelsius doesn't recognize Office 2010 (64-bit).
