SAP integration with IBM Websphere MQ Services

Hi Experts,

We are currently running on R3 Enterprise 4.7 ext 110 (WEB AS 620). We would like to set up an XML integration from SAP to an external Websphere MQ Server. We do not have PI installed, just R/3. Would it be possible to use R/3 to send and receive XML data to an MQ server without having PI/XI? If so, please direct me to what are the requirements and how to set this up in our SAP system.
