Hi,
In a discrete manufacturing, when the material will be get reserved?. During planned order or while creating production order or while releasing the production order. What is the T-code to see how many orders, material is reserved? also tell me how to un-reserve.
Thanks in advance,
Regards / US
Dear Umashankar,
In a discrete scenario, when you create a production order and save it(without release),reservation gets created for all the
stock items under one reservation no.(Now without releasing the production order you cannot issue the components using
MIGO or MB1A against the reservation no).
Only after the production order is released(REL) status is set goods movement is permitted against the reservation no ,means
261 movement can be performed.
For the reservation list check the report MB24.
Check and revert

Hin Sir
In Discret secenario the materialis being get reserved when a production order is being created and save. You canot change it masnulyy since the order categopry is "10"It will deleted the moments when you put TECO on the production order.

US,
Well, that depends upon what you mean by 'reserved'. If you are talking about the event that causes an entry to be created in the Reservation table, then all of the events you mentioned can create such a reservation. Using this definition, then one could say that the material is thereafter 'reserved'.
Can you explain your definition of 'reserved' in a bit more detail?
