Hi, Do we need to write search logic for AET search relevant fields

Hi,

i have added a field in Activity screen by AET with the Value help, and same i added in search page and displayed in result list.

Here i have just created the F4 and written the event handler for the F4.

I have not done any search logic still when i search based on the new field as search criterea i got the correct result.

But for my new requirement i had to add the same field by AET again but now i need the description in this new AET field for the code which i got in previous field.

i added new AET field or i copied the same field and then i displayed it in search and result and OV page.

In OV page by doing getter of teh new field i got the description.

But the problem is in search, like previous i did not added any search logic as per my knowlege AET dose not require to add search logic.

But for my description field the search is not working.

Please suggest.

I want to add one more thing, the Field in which i am displaying the data is is not getting updated in my table.

The field is in Activity Header, so in table CRMD_ACTIVITY_H, the field is there by AET but it is empty no data is getting maintained in table, so the search is resulting into Zero Values.

I have no idea why the table is not getting updated, Please suggest.
