an interesting fact about /usr/sap/SID/j2ee

I find the following fact in an MSCS clustered JAVA only system with some application servers :

Only on one application server you can find the directory called /usr/sap/SID/j2ee which cannot be

found on either node of the MSCS cluster or any other application server.

In other words, for all application servers only one of them has the directory called /usr/sap/SID/j2ee (not on the cluster nodes).

Could you please help tell what is the reason to have this, and how's it realized in installation?

Thank you!

Hey Jennifer,

Please correct me if i am wrong, you must be finding this folder on the drive which is a cluster resource i.e. acting as a shared drive and is present as a cluster resource under a cluster group in MSCS.

Please let us know if it is so.
