Dear All

The accounting entries for Service PO are always

KBS (GL account specified in Purchase Order) debit

WRX Credit.

In that scenario whats is the use of assigning Valuation Class in Service Master. If we are not using OBYC for Service Master account determination whats the purpose of assigning a valuation class in Service Master?

Dear All

I am still not clear about the Automtaic Accounts determination for the Sevices.

There is no GL asigned to KBS in OBYC.

So even if we have assigned Valuation Class to the Service Mater what is the linkage to the GL Acount and what are the transaction event keys used in automatic account determination?

Hi,

No assignment done in OBYC for KBS key , its on OKB9 t.code & Control is on OMJJ & value string. Also check SAP Note: 364570

NOTE:In service master, one need to enter valuation class & in OBYC, just assign GR/IR Clearing (service) with G/L account only & remember that no valuation class for service assignment requires here in OBYC for service.

Hi,

- KBS is the transaction / event key to an account for GL posting of Goods Receipts.

- WRX posting to the GR/IR clearing account in the case of Goods and Invoice receipts against Purchase Ordes.

- Valuation Class for the service master to prepare the automatic account assignment of GL posting.

Hi,

The Material Group (Services) in item overview needs to be assigned to a valuation class with the respective account determination keys and the respective G.L accounts and therefore, the Valuation class will come in to play.

Well, it determines the GL account upon the creation of Service PO. GL account is determined based on the Account Modifier in account assignment category (trx OME9) and Valuation class of the material, for the transaction key GBB in OBYC. The corresponding GL account is proposed on the creation of service PO.
