Why dialog box when attempting logon

Hi all!

I have a question.

Is there a way to logon via the logon pad directly instead of doing it via the logon popup.

I am not using https, is this the reason, do I have to activate https to logon directly on the logon pad.

Otherwise the function "Request user ID" is worthless since you in this case has to have a WAS user ID and password to make a reguest of user ID.

Following text is displayed in the logon pad:

SSO is not active in system To continue, choose "Logon". A dialog box appears, where you can enter your user and password. This server does not support HTTPS! It is therefore potentially unsafe to send your password

Hi,

I had the same problem. The customer had no SSO and HTTPS activated, but a basis colleague told me to set the following parameters to '1':

login/accept_ss02_ticket

login/create_sso2_ticket

Then it worked.

Hi,

its just a warning ! if you want to enable https you can refer to the following weblog.

Now I don't have to logon via the popup, but still I have the problem with the "Request User ID".

I found a note (196507) that exactly describes my problem, but still the changes made according to this note didn't solve the problem.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

I don't know on which SRM release you are, but maybe note 816136 solves your problem.

Hi!

We are running SRM Server 5.0 sp-level 06

Thank you for the input, i have tried to apply the changes described in the note with no result.

After applying the changes i save and publish the complete service in SE80. I have also tried to invalidate the template cache in SICF. The reason I describe the procedure is because I want somekind of OK that this is the way to do it.

When I make a check if changes in the html code work this shows that I am doing something wrong. In HTML template LOGIN in Internet Service BBPGLOBAL I changed title to > <title>SRM - Enterprise Buyer Welcome!1213121312131213121312131213</title> then I save and then publish but... when I go to the webgui logon page this change isn't showing.

Perhaps the note is the answer but i implement it wrong?

Any input?

Best Regards,

Roland

No, I would like to get it to work without activating HTTPS, is this not possible?

Hi,

If the only problem now is the message which appears on the Logon PAD,then best way would be to activate HTTPS as mentioned in the below link:

/people/gregor.wolf3/blog/2005/10/11/setup-https-ssl-for-the-sneak-preview-sap-netweaver-04-abap-edition-on-windows

Else to suppress the warning message do the following.

Goto SICF and locate your service, open node and choose tab error pages. In the redirect URL add '&bspdontshowhttpswarning=X'.

Hi Disha!

I have alreade suppressed the error message in SICF, my problem is that in order to "request user ID" from start page you have to logon.
