Restriction of entry to cost center by user ID

" Restriction of entry to cost center by user ID" .

It means client run cost center report, but they will get only one employee cost center report for given one employee id but not get full employee.

First it is possible to restrict through sap basis. Please Let me know.

For example I have 3 cost centers A, B and C

I want user 1 to post only to cost center A and never to cost center B and C

If this is Possible one ?

can you explain the process in detail?

Hello,

Please refer to the following note as I believe it will prove useful

in resolving this issue.

• Note: 15211 CO form reports: authorization concept

- You must setup different Authorisation Groups in K_CCA.

- Then the relevant cost centers are assigned to the Authorisation Group

- The user is assigned to a relevant Role in transaction PFCG.

- Now lets say you have cost center group named 'SAPTEST1' for example.

- Then for the K_CCA object you enter 'SAPTEST1' in RESPAREA.

- Then enter 'SAPTEST1' in the Cost Center Group Field.

- Then these will be the only cost centers the user has access to .

Therefore in summary you must setup the K_CCA object i.e the level

of authorisation. Object for restricted access (can have several for

each Report Group) and Object for Administrators (i.e. view all '*').

Then the user is assigned to a role that is assigned to the relevant

K_CCA object and then the Report group is entered in the Cost Center

Group Field of the RESPAREA which is assigned to the K_CCA object.
