Error Message : PO creation

Dear All,

While creating Purchase Order in csae there is some error by the user say Material is non maintained in teh Plant or blocked for procurement in that Plant, system is showing single error message " Purchase Order Still containes fauly items" whereas earlier we used to get specific error message. There has been no settings related to messages done still we are facing this problem.

Please guide how we can configure specific message for any error/mistake done while creating teh Purchase Order.

SAP have provided certain standard warning / error messages for Purchasing which you can see in IMG path MM > Purchasing > Environment Data > Define Attributes of System Messages.

Dear All,

My qustion is not to diagnose the error.

This is related to error message flagged at the time of PO creation. We are getting single message for any type of error done by the user in PO.

We want that message flagged by the system should be specific to the errror done by the user while creating the PO.

Hi,

You can define a Blocking Key in OMS4 t.code { in details ,you can set as REQUIRED message as error(A) or warning(B) in purchasing segment & assign the Blocking Key in filed "Plant-sp.matl status"to material master in Basic data-1 view or Purchasing view and save.

Now create PO with that material , see & the check the error message!

Usually, as and when you fill the wrong data the error/warning message should appear in the bottom of the screen.

And consolidated error list is shown when you click,

• Check button (CtrlShiftF3) or

• Show Message Button (Shift+F6) or

• Status Button in the Item level in the PO.

check following point

1) In MM60 check your material for your plant maintained or not

2) check purchasing view in Material you have mainatin or not

3) check you have mark any deletion flag for material

Please check the material you used,whether it is deleted or blocked using tcode mm06,next check the Quality management view in material master ,is there any tick in qm procurement,quality certificate and other fields
