I have created a new raw material

and a po was created for sample

now in qm point what are the process involved for sample approval and customer approval

pls explin me

1.Explore "Status mgt in Supplier Relationship for sample approval

2.there is no such process called customer approval as such in SAP QM but you may use Quality notification ( create new type) for the same.

As per my understanding

For your new RM created , a PO was raised and now your require an approval process in QM .

Follow the below steps

1. Create a quality info record and release this for Qty = Sample QTY

2. Create a Status Profile .

3. Ensure Status Profile Assigned to Quality Info Record

4. The sequence of statuses for the supply relationship is updated whenever inspection lots are accepted in the usage decision.

6. The supply relationship can run through a sequence of statuses that you define in a status profile.

7. Update the final approved status in the info record once you have accepted the sample in the UD.

8. Release the vendor for the production qty or untill release date in the info record .

Once PO is created for sample and released , you can use the block function to block any further PO creation till the samples are tested & approved .
