I want to edit one table entry. i tried it with SE16N and &sap_edit but sytem is not allowing to change. system is ECC 6.0 EHP4.
pls sugeest any new process for that

TCODE : SE16N
Press ENTER
In the GENERAL TABLE DISPLAY - ENTER J_1IEXCDTL AS THE TABLE ENTRY.
In the command field (where you enter the TCODES , type &sap_edit
Press ENTER ( you will get the message : SAP editing function is activated )
Execute (F8)
Makes the changes & Save
(Note: table edit is not advisable)
Check & Revert back.

I checked in one of my clients, and its working fine.
Maybe you do not have the authorisation for CHANGE.
Please check with your BASIS team.

It is not advisable to updating of table directly in prduction server, why dont you create a update program.
