Create Outbound Dlv. w/o Order Ref.

Hi friends,

I just want to understand the scenario of "Creating of outbound delivery without order reference"

i know the tcode (VL01NO), as well as the process of rest.

but, i want to know in which business scenario will it usefull.

can u just post me some examples of business scenario's for this process

Hi,

I can give you an example:- delivery without refrnce to order is done in case when the delivery is directly to be done from the PS systme in case of projects. This gives a complete track of the of the progress of teh project on teh WBS level.

Also Mostly this functionality is used when the order processing is carried out on another system (say EDI processing).

Also, I have used this fucntionality one of my projects to map the Returnable Packaging materials.

Like you can issue the retunble pack.matrls to customer along with ur regular sales matrls during outbound delivery and when u receive the same back from the customer you can receive it w.o ref to any doc. directly into packaging stores. (say thru VL01NO by mentioning the returnable materials)
