Euro Sign in Smartforms

Former Member

Hello All,

I want to include the Euro Sign (u20AC) in one of my Smartforms (on a non-Unicode system). So first I simply tried to use it direcly, by entering this sign into a Smartforms text element. But on the final printing (spool via sp01) this Euro sign is replaced by a # sign.

So I searched a bit here in the forums -- it is said to use the string "<156>" to include the Euro sign in a Smartform. So I did, but unfortunately that did not work either. When I use this string there is nothing printed there in the final result (except a space character).

Any other ideas that I could try?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Kind regards, Matthias

Hi,

Printing of Euro symbol might not be possible on all Printers. By default, SAP R/3 supports the euro symbol only when using the SAPWIN device type and printing over SAPLPD (mainly used for individual document printing).

Also check the SAP Note 0129581 for more information on this.

Regards,

Dhina..

Hello

In addition review the following SAP notes :

447596 - Euro sign/Trademark sign: processing.

For additional information regarding smartforms and special characters such as the Euro symbol see:

616683 - Smart Forms: Inserting SAP characters into texts
